French police are on patrol in Madrid this week to collaborate with their Spanish counterparts. They will assist patrols in tourist zones, such as the Prado Museum, the city centre and the airport until Monday. Meanwhile if you ask a policeman for directions in Torremolinos or Benalmádena they could well speak Portuguese. The Ministry of the Interior says the initiatives come in the framework of European Commission Projects. Two National Police patrols are meanwhile on patrol in Lisbon and Prague.
